Outdoor Tent Reservation Process
Outdoor tents located in Taylor Courtyard and Vermont Street south of the Campus Center will be available to reserve for IUPUI activities beginning Spring 2022 through October 30. Please note the Fall Weeks of Welcome (WOW) will be from August 20 – September 2 and will have priority for tent locations during those two weeks. For questions regarding the Weeks of Welcome schedule, please email the WOW Planning Committee and Student and Family Connection at wowiupui@iupui.edu. There may be times during WOW when tent space is available and therefor it will be released for other events and available on a first come, first served basis. Taylor Courtyard tent reservations are made using the following link: Division of Undergraduate Education Room Reservations Website and Vermont Street tent reservations are made using the following email: campcntr@iupui.edu with the date/time of the event/activity.
For questions about tent availability, please email our Division of Undergraduate colleagues at argraf@iupui.edu for the Taylor Courtyard tent and our Campus Center and Student Experiences colleagues at campcntr@iupui.edu for the Vermont Street tent. For questions about the event application process, the type of event/activity you are coordinating, or other items specific to your event, please do not hesitate to contact the IUPUI Event and Conference Services team for assistance. They can be reached by email at eventsvc@iupui.edu by phone at 317-274-2702.
Outdoor Tent Information
Tent sizes 30’ x 30’ and 30’ x 45’ are listed below as a standard tent and are recommended for various activities such as classroom space, departmental gatherings and activities, and general outdoor use. Tent sizes 30’ x 105’ or 40' x 100' are listed below as large tents and are best suited for campus events and programs such as Weeks of Welcome, Orientation, and Regatta.
The tent spaces provide cover from outdoor elements only (except wind – there are no side panels), items such as tables, chairs, audio-visual, electrical, or water sources, and event services such as trash removal, set-up, tear-down, food, and beverage, are not included and, if desired; would need to be arranged for and funded by the organization, department, or division reserving the space.
Please note a couple of spaces have existing furniture which may need to be moved depending on event needs. This is to be arranged for by the requestor reserving the space – the university does not have internal moving staff available for this purpose. Similar to IUPUI classroom and other reservable spaces, the organizer is responsible for clean-up post-event.
