Nancy Wright began her career at University Place Conference Center and Hotel at the Business Services Desk while a student at IUPUI. After graduation, she was hired full time as a Meeting Planner. During her tenure at University Place she has served as Senior Conference Planning Manager and was promoted to Director of Conference Services in 2005. University Place hosted over 500 events annually which included Political Debates, Press Conferences, First Lady Helping America’s Youth Conference, and Super Bowl XLVI.
Wright earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Supervision/Human Resource Management and an Associate's degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Tourism Management from IUPUI. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a member of the Indiana chapter of Meeting Professional International (MPI).

Nate Sparks joined IUPUI Event Services team in December 2012. As Manager for Facilities and Technical Services, Nate oversees the operations of events held in University Tower and Hine Hall as well as Facility Setup and Audio Visual needs for clients. He also oversees the purchasing, repair, and implementation of audio visual equipment for the department.
Prior to joining IUPUI Event Services, Nate served as Technical Specialist at University Place Conference Center and Hotel for 5 years and played a key role in the success of many large events. Additionally, Nate is a freelance studio engineer and record producer and is well known in the music community. He has had the opportunity to work alongside many award winning artists and producers and has had his work heard around the world through radio, TV, film, and video games.
Nate is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and regularly participates in music industry symposiums, panel discussions, and technology conferences.
